Breeder notes
- Size rule: your puppy should stand, turn around, and lie down — nothing bigger, or they'll potty in one corner and sleep in the other.
- Feed meals in the crate with the door open so it becomes the good-things place.
- Night one: crate beside your bed, last potty break right before lights out, and expect one middle-of-the-night trip.
- Never use the crate as punishment — it has to stay their safe room.
- Puppies can generally hold it about one hour per month of age, plus one, overnight.
